Amherst, N.Y. – Sam Logan recorded a double-double to steer Daemen College to a 3-0 win over the Le Moyne School volleyball workforce in non-conference motion on Wednesday night time at Lumsden Gymnasium.

After the groups went forwards and backwards over the opening 19 factors of the primary set, the Wildcats rattled off 13 of the subsequent 17 factors for a 23-13 lead. Le Moyne scored 5 of the subsequent six factors to tug inside 24-18, however Logan landed her sixth kill of the set to shut out the 25-18 win.

Following a 2-2 tie early within the second set, Daemen ran off eight straight factors and 15 of the subsequent 16 to take management of the set. The Dolphins answered again with an 11-2 run to chop their deficit to 5. After the groups cut up the subsequent 10 factors, the Wildcats landed a kill for the 25-19 victory.

Daemen exploded out of the gates within the third set and jumped out to a 21-6 benefit. The Dolphins responded with 4 straight factors and eight of the subsequent 11 to shut inside 10. Daemen ended the match with a kill for a 25-14 win.


Redshirt sophomore center blocker Marie Rhodes (Lancaster, N.Y./St. Mary’s) led the Dolphins offensively with six kills on a .667 hitting share. Freshman setter Haley Gerken (Buffalo, N.Y./Frontier) directed the offense with 14 assists. Redshirt sophomore libero Isabella Leslie (Elmhurst, Sick./IC Catholic Prep) and redshirt sophomore exterior hitter Madison Dembroski (Plattekill, N.Y./Wallkill) every recorded six digs to steer the protection.

Logan’s double-double consisted of 11 kills and 11 digs to steer the offense and the protection. Vanessa Kuliga hit .714 en path to touchdown 11 kills, whereas including six service aces. Olivia Alessi facilitated the offense by meting out 33 assists and added seven digs, two kills and two aces.

Le Moyne (5-7) concludes its non-conference slate on Friday at Queens School at 7:00 p.m.
