Police responded to stories of a person with a weapon barricaded in a south-central Edmonton house Saturday afternoon.
Officers closed the world of 96 Avenue between 64 to 69 avenues in Hazeldean to reply to the incident, stated Cheryl Sheppard, a police spokesperson.
A fringe round the home was established. Sheppard stated there was no danger to the general public.
Round 7 p.m., CTV Information Edmonton noticed that police had begun to clear the scene.
Later within the night, police stated the 31-year-old man who barricaded himself within the house surrendered peacefully.
“Weapon and assault expenses are at the moment pending,” Sheppard stated. “The investigation is ongoing and no additional info is accessible at the moment.”
