Tech sits tied for third at Illini Invitational – Texas Tech Purple Raiders

MEDINAH, Sick. — Powered by robust performances from freshman Shannon Tan, Chiara Horder and Anna Dong, the Texas Tech ladies’s golf program completed off a 36-hole rating of -20 total to take a seat tied for third on the Illini Invitational hosted by the College of Illinois after day one.  
The Purple Raiders have been led by Tan, who fired a career-best spherical of 67 within the opening spherical and spherical of 69 within the second spherical to take a seat at -8 total. The true freshman is tied for seventh, simply three photographs behind Sarah Edwards of Alabama (-11).
Tech’s different participant contained in the top-10 was Horder, who recorded only one bogey within the 36 holes of motion Monday. The sophomore fired consecutive rounds of 69 and 68 to take a seat in a tie for ninth at -7 total.
